The bundlee guide to nappy bag packing

It’s true when they say leaving the house will never be as simple again… but have a bag packed ready with everything you need and it’s one less thing to worry about. You’ll soon work out what you don’t need - but until then here are our eco-friendly essentials to get you started.

Must-have muslins

Great for sick dribbles, breastfeeding cover ups, impromptu picnic mats - there’s no end to how many uses you can find for a muslin. Have a couple on hand at all times - we especially recommend Etta Loves - the extra large ones not only fit around you and baby, but the black and white patterns are specially designed for little eyes and can be a great distraction in the pram as well. Plus, they’re made from bamboo, so they’re sustainable too!

Wipes, wipes and more wipes

Be ready for the inevitable nappy changes (read: explosions) with as many baby wipes as you can fit.

We love Beaming Baby’s reusable baby wipes, they’re organic cotton and soft as, well, a baby’s bum. If you’re still getting your head around reusable, Eco by Naty’s wipes are biodegradable and chemical free.

Sterilise on the go

If you’re not breastfeeding, it can feel like you have to cart the house around with you when you’re out. It’s hard to avoid plastic entirely when you’re sterilising, but Medela’s bags are recyclable plastic and last for twenty+ uses, and all you need is a microwave, cutting your bag size down sizeably!

Spare everything

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again - have a spare Bundlee babygrow packed for any emergencies - you never know when you might need it!

Cream of the crop

While Sudocrem is always a winner, we have a couple of organic alternatives to recommend to swap out in your eco-friendly changing bag. Why not try white mallow cream by Weleda, Organic Babies calming nappy cream, or (our personal favourite) Neal’s Yard baby balm - which doubles up as a great moisturiser for you.

Snack happy

Baby might not be eating yet, but it’s not an easy job recovering from childbirth and pushing a pram around. Not to mention the constant feeding and no sleep. Make sure you’ve got a bottle of water and some dried apricots (at the least, you’ve definitely earned some chocolate) packed for yourself.
