The best baby Korma

1 small onion
100ml coconut milk
100ml salt free chicken stock
¼ butternut squash
4 chopped dried apricots
1 small diced chicken breast
1tsp grated ginger
1.5 tsp korma paste

Sweat the onion and ginger in coconut oil and add the paste. Once the onion is soft, add the rest of the ingredients and cook through. For small babies, puree once done - older babies will enjoy in chunks with some naan fingers and cauliflower rice.

Make it veggie - this recipe works just as well without the chicken!

Cod chow-dah-dah

200g cooked, cubed potatoes
140g cod
500ml milk
1 onion
Parsley
Plain flour
1 lemon

Cook the cod in the milk and a generous portion of parsley. Bring to the boil, and simmer for around 5 minutes. Once flaky, remove the fish and set aside, then discard the parsley. Add the onions and the flour to the milk, and whisk until you have a thick sauce. Return the cod to the pan, add the potatoes and, once warmed through, serve with a squeeze of lemon. Purée for the smaller babies, older babies will enjoy as it is, with a chunk of bread.

Overnight delight

The last thing you want to have to worry about after a sleepless night is what to make for breakfast. Put some chia seeds to soak in coconut milk before you go to bed and you’ll have the perfect dish waiting for you in the morning. Simply add some stewed apple (we freeze batches of puréed apple in ice cube trays for the perfect portion size) and sprinkle of cinnamon and you’re good to go!
